The Internet of Things (IoT) In China’s Automotive Industry

With the vigorous encouragement of new energy automotive by China government. It’s normal that new companies are developing the smart car(mainly developing the electric car) in a highly growth, including Smart Car&Better Driving, Alibaba and SAIC Motor (one of China’s biggest car makers) ,LeTV Le Supercar, Baidu Car etc. These companies with Internet of Things(IoT) chose the best time to enter into the internet automotive industry.

Most automotive maker in China have a great inventory since the project of “shi er wu”. It’s said that the output of China’s top ten auto groups in the end of 2015 has arrived around 32.5 million cars in total (SAIC, FAW, Dongfeng, Chang’an, Beijing Auto, Guangzhou Auto, Chery, BYD, Brilliance, Geely, and JAC and Great Wall Moto). Environmental benefits

Nearly 90 percent of automotive aluminum scrap—more than a half-million tons a year—is recovered and recycled. To place this in perspective: Recycling 1 ton of aluminum saves the energy equivalent of 21 barrels of oil. The environmental wins continue: A peer-reviewed study by the Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory found that an aluminum-intensive vehicle can achieve up to a 20 percent reduction in total life cycle energy consumption and up to a 17 percent reduction in CO2 emissions.
